Loop Knots

Larry:

What loop knots do you prefer - either for heavy lines or light tippet fly fishing?

I have used the Homer Rhode loop knot for heavier lines with some success but am not completely satisfied. I have yet to find a loop knot that I really trust for fine line/tippet (3X or lighter).

It looked like you were using loop knots on the spoons in the golden dorado episode (great show!) so thought I'd ask.

Thanks!

Kevin

Hi K,
I use a 3 shouldered nail knot loop to fasten my lure to the line.
best,

Hi Larry,
I'm not familiar with that knot and haven't been able to find it online......do you have a link?

It's the same as a 3 turn uni-knot.
