Larry and Wooden Boats Question

Postby Seachaser » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:25 pm

Believe it or not, I am fascinated by the different styles of the wooden boats you fish out of and in the exotic locations you fish. What are some of the pro's and con's of the many wooden boats you have fished out of over the years? I would one day like to make my own. Thanks for the many adventures that you bring to our living rooms.

My dad built wooden boats, and I built the wooden boat I last used as a guide. The only disadvantage to the material is weight and yearly upkeep. other than that the ride smooth and are really quiet.
Only way to go is screws and glue. Most of the third world versions are modified hollowed out logs with some nails here and there.
glad you enjoy the show, thanks for the post.
