flat reel for jerkbaits

Hi Larry,
a friend is looking for a flat reel for fishing wooden jerkbaits, it seems that most flat reels can't stand the heavy fishing with jerkbaits , but we wonder how reels like curado 200 or new 300 will hold, and hope you can tell us. (I can imagine you've field tested the 300 months before it was in the shop)
ps. he uses round abu reels for the heaviest, and is looking for a flat reel for the lightest of jerks....jerks weighing around the 1 1/2 oz

The curado 300dsv will handle anything that swims in freshwater!
