Dear Larry,
First and foremost, I LOVE your show, and your DVD have been saving my sanity for fishing all through College. I was wondering, What knot would you recommend for joining 30lb fireline and 50lb mono leader??? I have tried several knots including the Albright and Blood, but much to my dismay, they have all "un-knotted" themselves.

ark check out www.animatedknots.com You can tie a "uni" to "uni" using the leader knot in place of the eye. there are others too

I'd tie a bimini in the main line then use a double nail or Uni-Knot (same knot) to join them.
