Single hook sucker rigs

Postby bigroo » Tue Dec 31, 2013 12:44 pm

Just finished watching a show where you made your own sucker rigs with wire and a single hook. Do you have this information posted somewhere, I would like to make some of these for musky fishing. Thanks, Phil

Hi BG
Nope, it's not posted anywhere, but the procedure is so simple it hardly bears posting. Bend brass wire (appx same dia as hook shank) to shape, secure to hook by wrapping with thin copper wire taken from an old lamp cord and silver solder it to the mid point of the bend in a size 4/0-8/0 hook.
If you need to see it again, the show will air 4x this week. Here's wishing you a great 2014!
best,
L
