Larry, when you were in venice, what was that spinning combo you used when you caught that yellowfin?
Reason i ask is im thinking of getting a high speed spinning for muskies. Simply brcause i cant afford to get a tranx.. im not worried about pulling cowgirls with it, ive got a reel for that.. mainly looking for something to pull fast retrieves like small bucktails and mainly my waxwings... or is there any suggestions you might have???

I was using a Stella 20000 for the tuna. A size or two smaller would be ok for muskies.

Thats still out of my price range... Is there anything you would recommend that is closer to the $100 range???

I think choosing the proper size is the first consideraton, then look thru the catalogs and find a model that fits your budget.
