YOUR rod weights design

Postby detroitmuskie » Mon May 06, 2013 1:55 pm

Larry,

I'm interested in using the rod weights you designed awhile back. Will they fit and work on Muskie size St. Croix Legend Split Grip Rods? Will I notice a difference throughout a long day of fishing?

Thanks!

You will notice a big difference. In fact, you might be amazed.
Not sure of the butt cork diameter, but generally all I do is sand down the butt so the balancer will slip over it very, very snugly.
You will want to use all the weights. If you get rattle or the butt isn't tight enough, just squirt a little silicone glue in with the weights and butt cap before you slip it on.
