Jose Wejebe - Spanish Fly

Larry and Everyone,

i'm not sure if you've heard or not yet, but I read online that Jose died in a small plane crash over the weekend in florida. I know he was mostly a saltwater fisherman/guide/entrprenuer but i'm not sure if your paths ever crossed. It seemed like he had begun his life after guiding trying to bring awareness to conservation, exploration, and education for fishing around the great salty coasts. Apart from my father, both Jose and yourself have had probably the biggest impact on my fishing life. I will miss watching his shows from exotic warm locations on our cold indiana winter mornings. I try to fish in saltwater as much as possible, and that is mostly from growing up and watching his shows. I will miss watching his shows and seeing him try to better the world of fishing now that he isn't guiding anymore.

Along with his family, the world lost a great ambassador for the fishing world.
