I have saw when kids had his first fishing, they catch big ones.
Is very curious but maybe it is lucky or the first step to love fishing...

Hi J,
You're sure right about beginners luck! One of my immutable laws of angling is "your odds of catching a big fish are inversely proportional to how much you actually deserve it!"
My first fish occurred at age 3 while ice fishing with my dad. It was a small sunfish. And yes, I still remember it in some detail. A homemade carved balsa bobber going down (it was orange) and me windmilling line hand over hand and being so excited I accidentally was letting it fall on top of the wood stove, where, of course, it immediately melted.
I did catch the fish though, but my dad had to re-rig everything.
