Hello Mr Larry how are you doing love the show. My brother wanted me to email you about using 80lb braid for those goliath groupers. Will 80lbs braid snap? Or should he go heavier on the braid. Thank you for helping him out because I don't no nothing about landing those monsters.

hi Ty,
If your knots are good 80# sufix should be fine. However, if you're dealing with coral or the remains of a sunken ship you might find mono to be a bit tougher.
If you're fishing in relatively shallow water, (where I've caught countless large Jewfish) you may not need braid and mono might actually be more comfortable to fish with because its stretch helps cushion violent head shakes etc.
