Buzz Off

Postby sakamotok » Thu Jun 07, 2007 7:35 pm

Dear Larry,
Since you've been to some pretty buggy places, what is your take on Buzz Off impregnated clothes? Do they work well enough or should I be saving my money and just using repellent?
Thanks,
Ken

I have an Orvis Buzz-Off hat that I wore to the jungles of Peru and it seemed to work.

Hope this small amount of info helps.

Hi S,
I've tried almost everything imaginable and the best I've found are the Shoe-bug Jackets that you saturate with deet.
Lots of things keep the mosquitos away but the tiny black gnats found from north of the arctic circle all the way to the equator are the toughest to repel and the shoe bug seems to do the best job.
I've had pretty good success with a new product (non deet) called Bug Band.
best,
L
